PROGRESSIVE ROCK SUPERGROUP
REUNITES FOR NEW STUDIO ALBUM.
POSSIBLE LATE 2009 RELEASE PLANNED.
TRANSATLANTIC, the progressive rock "supergroup" comprised of Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater), Pete Trewavas (Marillion), Roine Stolt (The Flower Kings) and Neal Morse (ex-Spock's Beard), have reunited after a 7 year hiatus to begin work on a brand new studio album.
The band began work on the album in early April in Nashville and are expected to have it released by year's end if all goes as planned.
TRANSATLANTIC have previously released two studio albums to tremendous critical and fan acclaim: 2000's SMPTe and 2001's Bridge Across Forever. The band toured on the heels of each release with an American Tour in 2000 and a European Tour in 2001 and released subsequent Live DVD's/CD's from both tours before going their separate ways for an indefinite hiatus which lasted almost the entire decade.
AGENTS OF MERCY - New project - New Album
31st January 2009
On March 1st 2009 Foxtrot Music will release a brand new album "The Fading Ghosts Of Twilight" - by the new project called AGENTS OF MERCY.
The album will initially be a LTD edition Digipack with 77 minutes of brand new music.
Agents Of Mercy is a project spawned from a low key acoustic project that Roine Stolt set out to do in 2008, but after getting singer Nad Sylvan (Unifaun) on board to do a few "guest vocals" it turned into a full production prog album where Nad got more involved and did most of both lead and backing vocals on the album.
Songs got longer and more elaborated and more symphonic and the common love of late 60's and early 70's prog is all over this album.
A few favourite drummers tracked drums for the 12 tracks, Pat Mastelotto (King Crimson, XTC, Stickmen, Tuner etc.) Zoltan Csörsz (TFK, Karmakanic) and Jimmy Keegan (Santana, Spocks Beard Live) the eccentric Biggo Zelfries (Walrus Farm) did most of the piano and analogue keyboards and TFK bassist Jonas Reingold add some fretless bass spice too.
Silas Toball (www.silastoball.com) did the mysterious artwork for us and the album is mixed by agent 777 Stolt at Cosmic Lodge as usual.
Or from Brian Dorbuck (USA): nanoook@charter.net

New KARMAKANIC album "Who's The Boss In The Factory"
8th November 2008
Jonas Reingold's project KARMAKANIC has a new CD out on October 26th from Inside Out:
The album is called "Who's The Boss In The Factory" and has Jonas on bass and he has written all songs
and the lyrics together with his wife Inger. Zoltan Csörsz plays the drums, Lalle Larson the Grand Piano &
keys, Göran Edman is the leadsinger and Krister Jonson plays guitar alongside Elias Källvik, Sven Cirnski,
Johan Glössner and Jonas himself.
Theo Travis plays the sax and Tomas Bodin, Andy Tillison keys and Roine Stolt on Rickenbacker12 are guesting too.
Lelo Nika plays some breathtaking accordion. Anyone who likes The Flower Kings elaborated orchestrations and tonal
complexity will absolutely love this album.
Tomas Bodin has a new album out called "CINEMATOGRAF". This is Tomas' first fully instrumental cinematic keyboard only album!
This might be the soundtrack to your inner journey this winter, a detailed and full on stereo acidtrip, so get your headset/earphones
out and make a nice cuppa coffee/tea and sit back and relax and let Tomas take you on a trip to Synthi wonderland.
Any friend of 70's synth albums from Tangerine Dream, Tomita, Wendy Carlos or Synergy will love this album.
